Arezou Sobhani, PhD,

I joined the Department of Radiology and its Research Lab in 2024 as a Senior Research Strategist and Associate Director of the Biomedical Radiology Research and Artificial Intelligence Navigation (br²AIn) lab. In this dual role, I focus on grant and manuscript writing, as well as overseeing all research projects across the department.

My work is rooted in my prior academic experience as an adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler College of Education, a position I have held since 2019. There, I serve as both a chair and a committee member on multiple doctoral dissertation committees, which has provided me with substantial expertise in research design and the IRB process. With a doctoral focus on English writing skills and over a decade of experience as a technical, medical, and scientific writer, I also contribute to the academic community as a member of the editorial boards for the Modern Journal of Studies in English Language Teaching and Literature and the Applied Linguistics Research Journal.

On the research administration side, I oversee all projects within the Radiology Research Core, helping to expand research efforts within the department and foster interdisciplinary collaboration—particularly within the College of Medicine and other colleges at the University of Florida. This aspect of my role is informed by my previous experience as a Program Manager at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where I received professional training in project management from their School of Professional Studies. During my time there, I managed multiple faculty development programs and standing committees. I bring both academic depth and practical expertise to support and elevate research within the department.
